How to Watch Minecraft Live

Minecon is dead. Long live Minecraft Live!

That’s the new name of Minecraft’s annual show to reveal everything that the team at Mojang Studios has been working on over the past 12 months, and everything set to come to the game soon.

Understandably this year the event is strictly online-only, but for most of us that just means the same thing as ever: streaming the show online. So here’s everything you need to know about when Minecraft Live is, how to watch it, and what to expect.

When is Minecraft Live?

The show takes place on 3 October 2020.

It kicks off at 12pm ET, which works out to 5pm in the UK.

How to watch Minecraft Live

You’ve got a few options for streaming the show. You can head straight to the official Minecraft site, or you can just watch on the game’s YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook pages.

What to expect

We don’t know a huge amount about what Mojang is likely to announce yet. We know there’ll be news, likely both about updates to the core Minecraft game and about new spin-off games in the franchise.

Expect news, trailers, and a vote for Minecraft’s next mob. Oh, and chickens, if the event’s trailer is anything to go by:
