OnePlus Nord N10 5G rumoured to be hitting the US market at under $400

OnePlus co-founder, Carl Pei already stated that a Nord device would be coming to the US before 2020’s end but now we have a potential name (and new specs) to go along with this promise – meet the OnePlus Nord N10 5G.

The silence around the original Nord’s absence in US was deafening when the phone launched in both Europe and India, back in July. The US has an established fanbase, so the fact the company didn’t bring its hottest and most affordable new phone to the market seemed like a bit of a slap in the face to loyal OnePlus fans at the time.

Not long after the Nord’s launch, co-founder Carl Pei, in an interview with Wired, promised that the US would be receiving a Nord device of its own before the year was out. Sure enough, sources familiar with the project have now informed Android Central about the phone’s existence, its name and a few additional details.

According to the report, this new member of the Nord family, codenamed “Billie”, will be called the OnePlus Nord N10 5G, boast a 64Mp primary camera and will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690 chipset – one of its most affordable 5G-capable SoCs and one that we’d previously seen by way of a Geekbench leak, as spotted by Twitter user Mukul Sharma, back in mid-July.

The N10 looks to be fractionally larger than the original Nord, with a reported 6.49in Full HD+ display that retains a 90Hz high refresh rate. That main 64Mp rear camera is also stated to be accompanied by an 8Mp ultra-wide-angle snapper and two 2Mp sensors; presumed to be a depth sensor and a macro or monochrome sensor, respectively.

When is the OnePlus Nord N10 5G launching?

While we still don’t know when exactly the N10 5G will make its debut, it’ll reportedly follow the arrival of the OnePlus 8T Series, which is currently expected to launch sometime in October 2020.

How much will the OnePlus Nord N10 5G cost?

One of the most enticing aspects of the phone – if Android Central’s source is to be believed – will be its pricing, with a cited sub-$400 price tag at launch.

Better yet, the company will also apparently be releasing an even more affordable budget Nord handset (at around $200) before the end of 2020.
